We incubated some of our eggs for the first time. We got these two here. Is this penciling? How do the genetics work? We have no chickens with these markings and these are not from the same hen. Just find it very interesting! 😊

We have about 30 but to narrow it down, the one on the left we suspect is from our light Brahma. The one on the right has greenish legs and dad has yellow, so that narrows it down to a blue rock, blue ameracauna or one of our ee's. None have patterning like this.
 
They look like Easter egger mixes. They may have some penciling genetics, but they aren’t penciled in the same way a purebred penciled rock would be, for instance.
