Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Well I just came in from the coop from catching roo's to put them up for culling. I have to do to CDR they cannot leave here live. Bummer. My best looking of 2 BLRW is a roo. Also I did get lucky that 1 of my 4 cochin X's is a roo when I thought they all were about 5 weeks ago. I thought I would loose them all. Why do all the pretty one's have to be a roo. I just cannot keep 4 in my small flock. Also I have to cull 2 BLRW that have been sickly and stunted since they arrived. I have soooooooooo learned my lesson. Thanks for all the help with the black cochin X's last week. Ya'll were right about the 1 roo. I compared all 4 saddle feather and only one had them and they were red and green on black. He would have been stunning!
