Just full of questions! How to make my new "yearlings" love me

Thank you! It will take some guts for me to hold the roo upside down. He is enormous!! He feels like he weighs around 12#? I could barely hold him still when I held him upright. He is STRONG! I know it is necessary, just a little daunting right now.
I have never gotten an adult bird before; I wonder what I have gotten into. Reading on this forum almost makes me want to kill all my new birds right now. People expound so strongly on every little thing that can possibly go wrong and I am freaking a little. I have them quarentined, but within 100 feet of my other birds. I haven't seen anything major...yet. One of the hens sneezed yesterday a little, but my husband reminded me that I thoroughly dusted them with DE, so that's probably a little irritating to their lungs.

When I go in my coop and close the door 1 or 2 will jump up on the roost
and you can put your hand and arm down by their feet and they will step
right on. Look forward to having to wash up afterwards! They don't like
being held.

I held my roo...upside down today.

He was not impressed. He was even less impressed when we trimmed him and his girls wing feathers.
I, however, was EVEN LESS impressed when I found major amounts of teeming lice on them!!!
