Just given a goose egg

I was just given a goose egg and was asked to try and see if it can be saved. Don't know anything about geese except that I really don't like Egyptian geese after rescuing babies couple of years ago. All I was told was it's mom looks like a giant pekin. That doesn't help me much. Hopefully I haven't hurt this egg by putting it in my incubator with my chicken and duck eggs. At this point it is too early to see if fertile. Do know that all the other eggs had been destroyed by animals and somehow this egg was spared.

Giant pekin... Could be any of the white breeds then. Embden, roman, white chinese, white african? Id be willing to bet that it is Embden though. None of these are anything like egyptians though. Egyptains are high strung and a wild breed. You probably didnt hurt the egg although it might not be viable if it survived a predator raid on its nest. Doesnt hurt to try to hatch it anyways. There is always a chance that it will hatch. Good luck!!
