Just got my first egg today!!!!

Today was a very exciting day! I got my first egg. Although the egg was tiny it brought me so much joy. The simplicity of getting your own food is so rewarding.
I currently only own 4 chickens; a RIR, barred rock, white leghorn and a silver spangle hamburg. I belive this tiny little egg came from my silver spangle.

Yeah! Congrats! I agree wholeheartedly that "growing" your own eggs is one of the greatest feelings in the world! I haven't even had my little flock a year yet but I am in love with my birds. I hope they always bring us this much joy. Best, Piper
