We have chickens, but finally purchased our first ducklings. They are ridiculously adorable! Just wish I knew their genders!

So cute! You can tell the gender at this age only by vent sexing, but this should be done by someone experienced as it can hurt the ducklings if done incorrectly. At around 6 weeks old, the ducklings voices will start to change. Girls will develop a honking like sound and boys will develop a rasp. Another way to tell their gender is the boys will have curled tail feathers while the girls won't. And of course, if you see any eggs you have a girl .

aw, so cute! they look like Pekin? anyways, Finny is right unless you vent sex at that age isn't a way to tell.. around 5-6wks i started hearing distinct voice changes in my mallard derived ducks, the drake curl comes much later, we already fully knew Clyde was a Clyde before that started to show.

Update us on their progress, they grow super fast, much quicker than chicks.. so capture in as much as you can.

Because he can't seem to keep his face and body out of the water dish! He seems to always have a wet spot somewhere!
