I might be able to get ducks for my bday in May n I'm just wondering what kind I should get
-needs to be a good egg layer
- pretty
- quiet
Are girls or boys nicer? Whatever one is than that one
- not so messy my mom will get mad
Any suggestion is appreciated thanks

These are our first ducks, so I am not sure that I am the best person to answer this!
Our ducks are Pekins, and I did read they are they are good egg layers, but messy.

Well if they need to be good egg layers, you should get girls. Boys don't lay eggs . Unfortunately all ducks are messy creatures, but there are ways to limit the mess. You just need to find a system to work for you.
If you want pretty and quiet ducks, I recomend the cayuga. They are absolutly stunning and are known to be the quietest breed besides muscovies. You might want to look into muscovies also. They are VERY quiet. But they can fly and its a personal opinion as to if they are pretty or not. The opinions vary a lot. Good luck
