Just got some chicks from McMurray Hatchery.

Bet that Rare chick is a ROOSTER! I got one last summer.. Pretty boy, but al our girls liked the older rooster we already had

I always make sure my brooder is ready to go at least 4 or 5 days in advance, that way if there's issues with it or the chicks come early I'm not caught flat footed. I once got 200 chicks a MONTH early! thankfully it wasn't hard to throw together our big brooder set up.

hello, im a new egg too! just reading your post about the new babies from m-hactery.i have a order to but mine come in april still have awhile to go. how r the chicks? did you find out what the free one was?
