just got some hens, how long before they will lay for me ?

So I got 10 hens and a rooster from a friend. They are young and just started laying at his place. Now how long before they start laying in their new home? I went out this morning and there were no eggs for me.

Depending how stressful the move was for them it could take up to a week. I doubt it will take that long though.

well good news, I got 8 eggs today, on the first day! I was so happy about that!
