I Was Out Cleaning The Coop And Checked On My Sitting Hen And Much To My Surprise There Was A Baby That Just Hatched....it's Still Wet And The Mother Was Eating The Inside Of The Shell.....there Was Fresh Blood In The Shell And The Baby Was A-chirping Away....i Watched For A Few Min. Just In Awe...the Baby Was Kind Of Up Side Down And Mom Was I Think Trying To Get The Baby Right Side Up...she Is Now Sitting On Top Of The Baby And I Don't See Any Kind Of Movement Going On..is The Baby Ok ????
I Left Her Alone Because I Thought She May Have Been Up-set That I Was Watching...she Was Kinda Pecking At The Baby. Not Hard But It Kind Of Worried Me. Is This Normal ???
The Due Date Was Right On The Money. There Are Six More Eggs Under Her With The New Babie And I Dont Think They Will Hatch Today....i Might Be Wrong But When I Candled The Eggs The Other Day, They Were All Different.
I'm So Excited And Nervous About The BABY'S All Coming At Once...what Will The Mother Do With Seven New Babies???will She Do The Natural Cleaning And Care Or The Babies All At Once Or Will She Abonded The Others ???i Don't Know What Toexpect....should I Go Rescue The Baby ?????i Want To Go Back Out There And Watch Her But Am Afraid To Upset Her....help Me Please Understand This Process.....god I'm So Excited...my First Babies....thank You Sooo Much In Advance. Ray
