just hatched, now what?

i had my first hatch today. the peep seems to be healthy. i have another egg thats pipped. so i know u gotta let the chick in the bator till its dry about 48 hrs. so what about feeding? when can i start giving it food n water, how much, what kind? any suggestions will help.

Yeah that sounds about right. Keep the lid on until the hatch is completely over or else the sudden spike in humidity can screw up the hatch process. I don't know the science behind it but I've heard that referenced repeatedly. Other than that chicks will not need any food or water for the first 3 days of life, so you have a window to keep them hopping around the incubator. I wouldn't push it much past 3 days, though.
