Hi all! I'm Elizabeth and I have been lurking around for a while and thought I should jump in and introduce myself. I don't have any chickens right now, just an "antique" chicken house that is being dismantled over on our neighbor's property and rebuilt here, thanks to my DH, DS and friend. Our neighbor just happened to need this building gone and we needed a chicken house, so it's all worked out great, and we didn't have to spend any $$ (YET!)!
The one thing that is making me nuts right now is I can't decide what kind of chicks I want! I think I will get some chicks AND hatch some out as well. I have a LG incubator that has been set up and cookin' for over a week...and I haven't taken the plunge and gotten any eggs because I keep changing my mind on what kind to get and where to get them. I tend to go overboard on stuff, so I have to reign myself in and take it easy!
I HAVE decided I need a gallery of different Wyndottes for laying hens. Then in the other half of the coop, maybe some sort of bantams? Oh heck! I can see where this is going.....I might as well just start building another coop now! LOL
