Just In Time Hatching Egg AUCTION and BIN Thread

Pics
Your one silkie has some funny looking ears. Is that a rare trait or what?
Yeah! She's the oddball of the bunch. No worries, she's spaded so no eggs from her. lol

I had the hens in the house giving baths for a show and the cat snuck up and helped herself to the chicken treats. She normally stays away from them because they peck her but the tuna smell was more than she could resist. Notice the stink eye she's getting. She did get chased away after I snapped the pic.

Alright... I need to raise some money for more chickens! So, I shall sell some hatching eggs! LOL! I see the logic, really.

Exactly 12 Blue/Splash Wheaten & Wheaten Ameraucana Eggs
My original stock came from Peachick (Kat LaDue). I recently added 2 pullets and 1 cockerel shipped directly from Wayne Meredith. My rooster from Kat LaDue is a very gentle rooster, but he has a single beard gene. Some of my chicks have come out clean faced. No one I sold eggs to hatched any last year, but I hatched 4 total last year out of nearly 80 chicks. So far this year I have hatched 8 chicks and all have beards. This new cockerel is to help cure the single beard issues, but so far he doesn't seem to be doing his job. I have not moved Dorian out of the pen because I really don't want to cull him - even though I know I need to.

The eggs in my avatar is true to the egg color you will receive. The picture was taken on an overcast day with no flash.

Exactly 16 Mille Fleur Bantam Cochin Eggs
I have stock from Msbear (Erin Moshier), WestKnollAmy and stock hatched from Wingshadows Hacienda's eggs. I have one partridge based MFC patterned girl from Luckypickens as well. I finally have my pens set up and I am ready to sell some test eggs.

B = Byron (BC x MFC) over Bridgette (black tailed buff), Millie and Mildred (Calicos)
J x MF = Junior (Byron x Millie) over my 3 best MFC patterned girls and the smutty Buff Columbian from Amy, Wingshadow's and Luckypickens (Pictured Below).
B x BC = Beakman (mottled) over Byron x Bridgette daughters (these girls look Buff Columbian)
C +A = Byron x Mildred Calico Cockerel over black w/ red leakage girls from Amy's eggs. You are testing these eggs fertility.

Exactly 9 Chocolate Bantam Orpington Eggs
I just acquired a small flock of 6 chocolate bantam Orps. I just set my first round of eggs from this pen last week and all but one was developing. These birds are the woman's 1st generation from birds she bought from GFF. These are truly bantams! I chose birds with more round and fluffy type because I was after birds that would cross well with my Cochins. I decided not to do the chocolate Cochin project right now because of a lack of birds (why I need to earn some money). One pullet does have white earlobes!

What was so funny about it was that it took me several times before I saw the cat. My son kept saying "look at it, really look you'll see something funny." I thought he was just being weird. Guess I'm starting to need those glasses again. They were all fluffy and fuzzy though in my defense.

I just had to add that pic to be funny. That hen is actually in one of the other pics. She's the one that won in a show. I haven't shown the other girls and I bought a roo at the Newnan show and keep forgetting to take my camera out and get a pic of him. He's very handsome. He has great toe separation and pretty turquoise earlobes. He's about a year old.

When my cabinet incubator gets wired i'll be setting alot of eggs so those interested in any of these eggs need to grab them up while you can.
