Is this just for starting youngsters or do the adults get it, too. I'm toying with the idea of bob-whites. I have a call in to the local wildlife people about permits & regs. I don't have the space, yet, but at some point, I'd love to be able to raise them. I miss our childhood conversations ... calls and whistles back and forth. It was so peaceful.

I bet the mini could shoot enough for a meal...in my front yard.

The neighbors would probably call Peta though.

It's okay if they call PETA. Most of them don't eat meat anyway, so the mini will still have enough squirrels for dinner. Just make extra mashed potatoes ... hold the gravy.

None of my poultry are fat. They have access to feed and water all day plus they get to forage too. Right now they are building up a nice fat layer from all the Russian Olives that are ripe. It turns them into self basting carcasses.
