Just joined and wanted to say hello.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. It's a small world. My wife and I were both raised not too far from where you are in the great state of Texas (Blue Ridge for her, Greenville for me). :o) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?

Thank you for the note. I'm sure we will have tons of questions.
I'm actually from England. I moved out to Texas in 2006 and met my wonderful hubby a couple of years later. We lived in Plano for a while, but it wasn't for us. We decided to make the move and buy some land. We've only been in Whitewright since June, so we're still settling in and trying to get things started. I never could have done anything like this in England, so it's quite amazing.

We have just 3 hens and a rooster. The rooster and one of the hens, is a cuckoo Maran, Buff Brahma and Ameraucana.

Wow, Texas is quite a change for you then. I love the chocolate eggs of the Marans. In my personal opinion, they are the prettiest eggs in the chicken world. Cheers.

Howdy!
