Oh thank you for replies at least I know I am doing the right thing. I live on about 2 acres in Kuranda (just out of Cairns), mainly rainforest. I have a 12 year old smooth frizzle rooster, 3 young cochin bantams, 1 "supposedly" aracana (sp?) hen, 1 plymouth rock hen, 1 Rhode Islandx x hen & 9 new chicks. 8 are cochin x smooth frizzle + 1 aracana x with my rooster.
5 , I hatched in incubator & 4 mum hatched 8 days later. Mum hen took all of mine when we went in for our first visit, so she has all 9 now. Being an Excellent mum.
