Anyone live in York County, SC on anything but AGC (agriculture) Zoned neighborhoods?

We are going to try to clandestinely raise 4-5 "quiet" hens using a quality built 10x4 tractor coop on a 1 acre fenced in yard in case we have to move the coop. The Zoning laws as listed in the link (below) are exception based, in that unless the animal is mentioned, it is therefore illegal. The only animals you can care and feed in York County are domestic dogs and cats. If a neighbor files a nuisance with the zoning agency - then the animals have to be removed or face steep fines. Liberal states outside of SC are more friendly to animals than we are here in the Upstate.

Here is the link to zoning laws for anyone in York County, SC: http://www.amlegal.com/nxt/gateway....ates$fn=default.htm$3.0$vid=amlegal:yorkco_sc

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Many people have "stealth chickens," they are hoping to keep below radar. If you do this you have to be prepared to rehome them or move, when the law & complaining neighbors catch up with you. Sure takes the joy out of having them.
