Just joined from Central Arkansas

Been reading BYC and learning a lot form you all, so wanted to join. Learned how to make an incubator and now have 48 eggs that are due to hatch tomorrow, but 2 already started pipping today, that's a good sign. Got 51 birds, Astrolorps, BC Morans, and Amaricanas mostly.
Looking forward to meet ups and swaps in my area.

Thanks for all the welcomes. This week is the AR State Fair in Little Rock, I hope to visit Friday the 11th during some of the poultry showing. Could all the BYC members there distinguish themselves? Maybe wear your hat backwards? Nevermind, that won't work. Hopefully I will at least meet some folks more knowledgable on poultry than I, and can share good info.
I just learned that feeding your chickens lots of corn will make their legs more yellow.

lots of corn is not the best thing for chickens which is probably why they love eating it.

Welcome trinar! We are in SW Arkansas, so hello from a fellow Arkie. I won't be going to the state fair, wouldn't be any help to you anyway as I am a newbie to chicken keeping, but I hope you enjoy the poultry show.
