Just joined site - brand new chicken owner

Hello all,

I have read lots of post on your site for a long time since I have been doing lots of research over the past two years before finally getting my first chicks about two and a half weeks ago. And so, today, I decided to join officially.

I am located in the Pacific Northwest just outside of Portland, OR. We have 2.5 acres and have big plans for vegetable gardens, a miniature orchard, a rose garden, and of course - chickens!

Thanks for being such a great forum and for having such good info! I look forward to utilizing the site more and to contributing if I am able.

I am blogging about my new chicks. I have lots of good pictures and try to do an entry every day or two, if you are interested in following. I have been blogging about them since day 1. If you do check out my blog, please be kind and understand that I am new to chickens and I most certainly don't know if I am doing everything right, but I am doing my very best.
