Awww.....what a cute story about your daughter! 🤩 Kids sure do cute stuff with animals. A friend here on BYC recently told me a story about her daughter having an encounter with an opossum, it played dead in the driveway for the little girl so she ran inside and got a blanket to cover it. She thought it might get cold while sleeping. :gig

That is too cute about your daughter! We raised just a few Rhode Island Reds when I was around that age and my Mom said I would sit outside with them in my lap to read to them. :lau I don't remember that part but I do recall them happily sitting in my lap for the longest time without complaint, lol, they are a very people friendly breed for sure. My daughter doesn't read to the chickens like I did but she definitely enjoys spending time with them too!
 
Welcome, Bet! I believe you can only change your screen name once a year. Nothing wrong with “Bet” though. Better watch out! If you hang around here too long the chicken fever will get you and everything will start to look like a possible chicken coop. :lau
