Awww.....what a cute story about your daughter! Kids sure do cute stuff with animals. A friend here on BYC recently told me a story about her daughter having an encounter with an opossum, it played dead in the driveway for the little girl so she ran inside and got a blanket to cover it. She thought it might get cold while sleeping.

That is too cute about your daughter! We raised just a few Rhode Island Reds when I was around that age and my Mom said I would sit outside with them in my lap to read to them. I don't remember that part but I do recall them happily sitting in my lap for the longest time without complaint, lol, they are a very people friendly breed for sure. My daughter doesn't read to the chickens like I did but she definitely enjoys spending time with them too!
