Hi all,

I was given orders to say hi when I created an account. It's an honor to be on the forum.

In short, I know NOTHING. I am learning quite a lot online and I'm hoping to take the plunge next spring.

I have a hobby farm that I purchased and I want to get about the work of building the soil back. I'd like to put some chickens to work doing my tilling so I can follow behind and start planting to lush greenery. I wouldn't be mad if I had some delicious eggs out of the deal either.

I'm hoping to plug some holes in my knowledge and perhaps find some folks near me for some hands on observation. I'm in SW Michigan.

Congratulations on your acquiring your property. It is excellent that you are restraining yourself from just running out and grabbing a box full of cute fluffy chicks and are instead spending many months learning. You will never regret that decision.
