..waiting, waiting, waiting. lol.
So, my 3 oldest hens are almost 22 weeks old, and only one of the girls are laying, a little over a week now. Good little Jailbreaker! She's my single Rhode Island, her eggs are slowly getting bigger and she hasn't missed a laying day yet. She's also quiet when laying lol. It's never obvious when she's doing her girl business. My 2 Barred Rock hens are also 22 weeks and I know at least one of them is close. These last few days I've been watching her, and she's been moving around looking a bit lost, making an "eeehhhrrr" drown out sound. She's showing a bit of interest in the nesting boxes, but hasn't actually done anything yet. Waiting, waiting, waiting.. lol.
My other 5 hens are coming up on 20 weeks and the waiting game will be starting with them soon too! But still only the one egg layer! Can't wait to see what colored eggs I'll be getting.
