so I have a egg in the incubator from these 2 beauty's, they are Icelandic viking hen and Icelandic viking rooster (not every one knows this breed but it's really popular in Iceland were I live)

so they will be the parens of the chick that's in the egg. but I was wondering, what color chick will come from these to ? :)
grey like the father of 3 colored like the mom, or maybe some other color?

like I said I'm just curious because the mom is so beautiful so I'm really exited :clap

here some pictures of the parents :)

To my knowledge, Icelandics have lots of colors. I believe they were developed from a stock of many breeds of chickens, and were developed for self-sufficiency with no heed to color or type.
With this in mind, the coloring of the chick is likely not fully determined by the phenotype of the parent. Each parent could have any combination of dominant and recessive genes, which could appear as any number of phenotypes on the chicks.

Long story short, the color of the chick will be unknown until it feathers out.
