Just lost another chicken, no idea on the illness

Hey everyone. I just lost another chicken to a mystery illness.

Symptoms:
Lethargy, pus in eyes, not wanting food or water

This is the second chicken I have lost to whatever this is, and I need some help. Her face wasn't swollen, no raspy breathing or coughing. The only thing I can think of is a resp infection, but I have no idea! A little help would be much appreciated!

It would be a good idea to send the body for testing/necropsy through your state lab so you can find out what you are dealing with.

Do you know about how much a necropsy would cost? Do I have to set up an appointment or something? I'm just curious, sorry!

It depends on your location.
You can look up your lab in the link above and call them about pricing. Generally, an appt is not needed. Most labs you can either bring the body in if you live close enough or ship it.
