Just Need to VENT about a bad morning, my poor chickens.

We also learned the hard way that dogs will go through chicken wire, not necessarily under it. This was after 20 years of poultry keeping with NOT ONE dog attack. Lost our only EE in that one. A horrible lesson, that has me planning an ultra super safe pen for when I can have chickens, lol.

I'm just happy that all your hens are okay.

The neighbors brought over some mesh netting. She was going to put it on herself, but my husband said he wanted to do it because he wanted to move the monster of a coop!

He came home early, got some dollies and my other neighbor and they hauled it. Or lets say WE hauled it... it was huge, and heavy and took 3 of us to keep it balanced!!!!

Now my chickens are between my grapes and orchard... they should be happy I hope. We'll see!
