Just not sure...

The EE has female color pattern. I do see what the person means by too much white on back on the silver lace normally that means boy but it's also right the lacing is not even. Other one is a pullet for sure.


Curious, does the EE have one or three rows in the comb? I'm seeing a lot of three rows- boy, one row female around here.

Just one row (yellow) I am relieved more and more by these comments, thank you! There was definatley no question in my mind about the RIR... My husband said that he heard one of them crow quite well and when he went to look, the EE was on the top perch so he was assuming it was her. I've been researching most of the day and it appears that many pullets and hen will crow sometimes... I'm thinking /hoping that's all it is.
