Just ordered chicks

Well I just orded 6 more chicks and my others will be a year in about 2 months. O am hoping I got hood breeds since they will be around kids and everything. What are your thoughts. Also thinking about starting a story should I do in it? Thanks in advance

They are arrive a week before easter will definitely post picks and I order from Hoover's hatchery. Have you heard of them? Are they good quality? They dont vaccinate and my ones turning a year are all healthy and and strong no deaths and got from same place. I ordered them through thiesens to cut down on shipping

Hoovers Hatchery should give you healthy, hatchery quality chicks! Much better to order through a feeds store, no shipping and you can order 1 kind of each breed!

I think it would be cool to get a variety of breeds, but we can only get Australorps from the local ag office here in Vanuatu. We have three one-week chicks right now. Two are black and one is yellow with stripes down the back. They are starting to get their wing feathers and we are anxious to see what their adult coloring will be. (Of course there are "island fowl," which are the local mixed breed.)
