Now the excitement and anxiety has set in!
I was all set to get chicks but someone in our neighborhood has runners. One day I saw the her working in her yard. I told her I loved walking by her house and seeing them run around. She and her husband took the time to talk to me about them. She explained how well they produced eggs and how fun they were. I could see how well they free ranged in her backyard. I was very conflicted. Another visit back to her yard, this time with my hubby, and we were converted! (Although chickens are still on my mind!)
Now I feel pressure to get everything ready (perfect) before the quacklings arrive! I appreciate all the posts and pictures people have posted of what works for them. I would never have had the confidence to hit "confirm" on our order form if it hadn't been for all of you generous people!
