Wow, Drove 125 miles yesterday to Myers Hatchery to pick up my 6 chicks. It was -4 blowing snow. I will never forget this first go around with chickens, they are beautiful and Myers was great to deal with. I would recommend them for any first time buyers.

Hello Ernie, I see you are from my neck of the woods as I am a follansbee resident myself. I am glad I came across your post because I have been looking for a decent hatchery close by to get a hold of some australorps. So I am going to check them out since I really don't want to have my chicks mailed. We are in our second year of raising chickens and I have been looking for a more cold tolerant breed since the current chickens have not had such a great time with this -20 degree weather we have been having. I am going to make a trip up there soon now.
