Just put eggs in incubator for first hatch. Hatch date FEB 25th!

I am so excited. I just set 10 golden comets, 12 silkies, and 6 possible lavender ameraucana easter eggers. I set more than I want to keep as I have no idea how many roosters I will end up or what my hatch rate will be considering it's my first hatch. I do have someone who wants my extras though. Wish me luck!!

Yeah! We will be setting eggs on Saturday, anywhere from 40 to 90. We have 2 hovabators with turners - one holds 42 and the other 48. Never tried that many. Some friends asked if we would try to hatch some of their eggs too. Guess we'll see...

I am a bit worried, I read somewhere to let them rest for at least 8 hours and i let them rest for 9, but then I just read in a thead that they should have rested for 24 hrs after I received them in the mail. Have I messed up badly?
