Just put eggs under my broody*SHE IS NOT VERY NICE* Please help! PICS

I have a very mean broody right now, just put eggs under her on May 3rd I can't wait to see how she does. I might move her after the chicks hatch she is in the main pen/coop with the other chickens right now. I am hoping things work okay. I am worried she is on the top nest so I worry about the babies getting down after hatch will have to move her to the bottom nest. We shall see. Good luck with your broody.

I'm sorry I have to laugh. In that second pic you are getting some pretty serious stink eye!!! I don't blame her for pecking you either. I don't know if you have kids but if you do then you can remember not wanting every tom, dick and harry touching your new little baby. I think hens think the same way. She don't want your stinking hand in there messing around and she's gonna give you a good chewing!!

Well she squished another. so only 2 alive and 2 still hatching. other 2 are flat as a pancake and had to get thrown out.

I always wondered how they DIDN'T squish the chicks, lol. Now Iknow they do sometimes. I wonder how they can tell........ Sorry for your chicks.

sucks cuz the 2 she squished were yellow ones. I have black australorps except for her. So I know they were her babies too. I was really hoping to add more color than just black. I have 2 yellows in the brooder inside though, so thats something I guess.

She is a mean devil though.

Well the broody has 4 baby chicks that are alive and well. She is taking good care of them so far! yeah!!!!!
