Just received my chicks. They are non stop drinking. Is this normal?

Just received my chicks. They are non stop drinking. Is this normal? I put 2 saucers with marbles in them so they dont "drown" but they just seem like they are very very thirsty. Is this from the trip in the mail?

My 12 chicks go through about a quart a day. Surprising to me, but they seem quite happy and very active.
