Just saw the new BYC webpage, very sad, very hard to read. Hate change sometimes...

Uugghh, Havent been on in a few weeks. SHOCK. How do you all like this new font and program? Any one have a suggestion on how to make this easier to read. The previous pages had good dark solid letters. These are so thin and wimpy. I'm really disgusted. It's like a good friend totally dis'ssed me.

I have pretty bad vision and don't have trouble with the font.

The font is the same size and color as on the old platform.

Personally I love it all. But I'm young and technical minded so I may be one of the few who LOVE it completely.

But give it a bit of time and it will grow on ya. Soon you'll almost forget what it was like before and you'll be perfectly happy.

Yes, it is truly the same as "old BYC". It's the default size used in fill-in forms/text boxes all across the web, as far as I can tell.

One thing that might make it better for you is to change the size of the text when typing. The default is this "Normal" size. You can now increase and decrease text size. Perhaps play around with that and find a new setting that you like when you type new posts...

You might try doing what I did. I added AdBlocker to my Firefox and got rid of all those distracting ads and a few other things. That helped a lot with the clutter. Nothing helps the colors, tho. I only ever stay a few minutes now because the brightness (or whatever it is) makes my eyes hurt. If I stay very long, I get a headache. A little at a time I am weaning myself away from here. It's easier than I thought it would be because the folks whose posts I like to read seem to be doing the same thing. I see them less and less, and a few not at all.
