Welcome!! If those suggestions don’t work, may I suggest “pinless peepers”? Search on the internet-I used them with success. Good luck and I hope calm returns to the flock!

Thanks for the suggestion. Wondering, should the dog crate be in the hen enclosure or completely removed. Should it have a nesting area or roost?Welcome to Backayrd Chickens. Take the big girl out stick her in dog crate or whatever for few days when she goes back in watch Bullies are had to fix.
Thank you for the suggestion. I asked another member this question: Should the cage be kept within the hens’ enclosure? (There is plenty of room) or should she be separated from them. Also, should it have a nesting area and roost?![]()
My suggestion would be to take your aggressor out and put her in a cage for a few days then reintroduce her to the flock then the others will have reestablished their pecking order which would move her down. She may start up the behavior again then repeat and leave her out a little longer. It usually works. Good luck with your flock and have fun...
Thanks!Welcome to BYC! Good luck with your bully girl.
I have seen those somewhere on the internet. Thanks for the reminder!Welcome!! If those suggestions don’t work, may I suggest “pinless peepers”? Search on the internet-I used them with success. Good luck and I hope calm returns to the flock!![]()
Agreed!Hello, and welcome to BYC. Sounds like a 'time out' is in order.
I have done it both ways and had my best luck with moving mine away from the flock. I put mine in a cage in our barn which is behind the coops. No to the nesting box and roost. It's like they are in chicken jail. Most people use a wire cage with a wire bottom. @aart has a good picture of how she does hers. Again, good luck...Thank you for the suggestion.
