I agree with Shelly.aat least be ready for an early hatch.
My last one.I picked up the eggs to put them in lockdown on day 18
and they peeped at me. Hatched the next day. I have read that some folks do lockdown on day17
for Serama............

Mine hatched day 21

Day 20 is the earliest I've had hatch but all of them have been under broodies.

Mine under broodies hatched at 21 days too. In the incubator they hatch around 19. Small eggs usually hatch early, the big ones don't.

I got 3 hatched out of a doz....on June 10...I'll post pics when I learn how....I love my seramas!

I used the flashlight on them ... I don't see any veins .. But I ate one of her eggs yesterday & it had the fertilized bulls eye in it so I don't know if I will end up with babies or not

pretty sure they are no good. but today i went out to feed & she was in her box so i thought well ill just wait for her to finish laying her eggs & ill go in & get it. she never came out but was tucking her one little egg right under herself. broody maybe ?? we shall see & im hoping my little roo has been doing his job . what age do they usually start mating? he just started crowing not quite a week ago, he is almost 4 months old?
