We have finished the inside of our coop, minus one 2x3’ area of insulation, which will be done by week’s end. 6 hens with a 10 x 7’ coop and a 8 x 14’ attached completely enclosed run.

We put chicken wire all around and over the top and then covered it with chain link.

The run is skirted (buried). I don’t plan on more birds. Insulation to help with the cold (it gets in the 30s, and the heat, often upper 90s to 101.

I agree, but it is hard to tell myself that on those three mornings where it was 22…lol…..It will also help with the heat come summer, as the coop is a converted metal shed…thank goodness for shade!
