Just shoot me.

Chickens have the potential for being easier than other show animals just by virtue of being able to eat your mistakes.

Shoot, if I spend a bundle shipping a champion grump halfway across the country to the champion stud dog we spent years searching for and researching pedigrees & genetic/health info for, wait two months for puppies, get THREE, wait 10 weeks for final evaluations, have two that are show quality and one whose bite is slightly off...well, then, I've got to find a pet home and a show home for the two pups I'm not keeping--a process which occasionally takes me months, because I'm a FREAK over where my babies go.

But hey--breed a batch of fugly chickens? BEAUTIFUL DUMPLINGS.

My apologies to those who don't eat chicken.

Oh I can so relate:D Even though I have threatened my dogs that they will be sent to ________ where they eat dogs. They just wag their tails at me. Ummm chicken and dumplins better go whine to my mom she makes the best and I am too lazy to make chicken and dumplins

Oh, Amy--ask my husband sometime how many years I've been BEGGING for a PBGV. He claims allergy exemption, which does keep us in only poodles, but MAN, I love those dogs of yours!

I make extremely lazy chicken & dumplings, with dropped 3-ingredient biscuits. Fugly chooks better watch out.

Silkieluvr and I show and breed little bantams, so there wouldn't be much to eat even on our culls. We usually just find homes, which has worked out great on craigslist, but if not we can just get her dad to shoot them

which he's always happy to do
