Thank you KarenP and LittleRedCoop. I love, love, love my chickens and they are spoilt ROTTEN!!!!

Max is so good with the Spice Girls (Ginger, Pumpkin, Nutmeg, Rosemary, Sage, Saffron and Cinnamon) and the Andrews Sister (Maxene, Laverne, and Patty). He took right away to Pepper and Jackie, as they did with him. He is so good to the girls...almost too much I think sometimes. He ALWAYS lets them have the treats first and they usually finish them off before he can get any....which is why I have a "special" Max treat just for him, while the girls are busy.

He really is BigDaddy's Gurl. I have 2 other roos, an RIR residing with 3 RIR hens who LOVE him to pieces, and a Speckled Sussex with 2 Cinnamon Queens. Both of those roos are mean, mean, bad, bad...but those girls love them respectively. I had to separate for a short time and had sad, low egg producing hens. Put them back together and hoo-ha.....back to normal.

But not my Max....He comes when I call him, he sits in my lap, he LOVES for me to pet him...he is just all around fabulous!

He is waiting as patiently as he can for the little girls to be ready for him. He is truly, truly a real gentleman. I go out and check,probably more often than is necessary, but the little girls are alway roosting as close as they can to my Million Dollar Maximus!

I like, though, that I have 2 who are "not so great" so I can really appreciate Max's worth.
