For next year, get on the catalouge list, it's utter seed smut (in a good way).

I sympathize, I spent quite a bit on my seed list for this years garden too. Though hopefully it will be well worth it.

Ditto. And I haven't done the irrigation order yet; this year I'm insisting on a drip system.

Do you not have a local garden center in your area???
We sell bulk garden seed, etc, cheep... at ours.
For 56.13 you could have bought enough onion, tomatoes, peppers, seed potatoes, seeds to feed a frugal family of 4 for a season at our store.

Look in the old fashioned hardware stores too for bulk seed. Buckles Hardware in Monroe, Ga. has it all. Even Christmas Pole Bean.

well I most diffinitally spent more on chicks/chickens than seeds this year ... although I thought of ordering more of both ... I need some RIR bantams badly.... and more flowers of course... I plant tons of sunflowers for snacks for my chickens during the winter... and the local birds also...

The worst part is I still need to fence in the gardens to keep the chickens out (that includes buying the supplies) and buy sand or gravel to prevent my coop become a swamp ever again! And I just got an email from Cook's Garden today saying all but one item has shipped.

Cats Critters !!! how much seed did you get?? and what did you get ??? im abought to make another order from johnnys .
