Just spent the last 2 HOURS trying to get the ducks in their house!!

I'm so glad that he got them in! Stinker ducks.

The only reason my ducks go in at night is because their pet bantam chicken (long story - she's a bit species confused) pesters them until they do. I've watched the poor dear, she rounds them up, then goes in and out of the hut practically begging them to go in. They always do, and where the big ducks go the littler ducks follow. Dorks.

It cracks me up every time. You should see the ducks having a hissy fit when Chicken goes somewhere they can't get to. It goes the other way, too. When the ducks first got their kiddie pool I had to make sure to put a rock in it because Chicken followed them into it a couple of times. Like I said - species confused. She looked pretty pitiful and very angry when she hopped out soaking wet.

well did you ever figure out what might have spooked them?? I am curious to know.

Nope.. we never saw anything...
And they went in tonight with no problems at all like usual... weird.

I have a feeling that something may have been in the yard and maybe the geese scared it off? I dont know..

Glad it worked out. My husband would have done the same thing just to get me to go to sleep! It's so nice to have someone who cares.
