Just started lockdown and my duck eggs are rocking!! Early hatch??

When they start rocking does that mean they're really close to hatching, or might I have to wait a few more days?? I'm soooo excited it's hard to be patient!! This is our first hatch and 4 out of 5 duck eggs are rocking and many of the chicken eggs look good too!!

If it were chickens I would say yes, but ducks take FOREVER to hatch. Mine rocked for about 3 days before they finally popped out. Pip, zip to hatch was about 18 hours for each one.

18 hours?! Oh Em Gee I'm going to have to leave town when mine hatch.

Oh boy, why do they have to take so long?? Thanks debiraymond, I might have been stuck here for the next 3 days with my face glued to the incubator!! lol I will (try to) be patient and not stare at them too much....
All 5 are rocking, 1 more than the others it seems. They've made it this far, I really hope they all hatch!!

The kids and I keep checking them, we're so excited!! 3 are Indian Runners and 2 are Pekin/Runner mutts.

The duck eggs are still rocking, one is a lot!! And i just noticed some of my chicken eggs are rocking, and we heard some peeping this morning!! I hope some start pipping soon, the suspense is killing me!!!

One duck egg pipped sometime during the night last night, I noticed it at 7am and since then it hasn't changed at all, although the egg has moved a little bit. At what point should I begin to worry???

Another of the duck eggs just pipped within the last hour, that's the feisty one that's been rocking and peeping nonstop for 3 days so I wonder if she'll be out fast.

mommyofthree, just a suggestion but for duck stuff did you know theres a Duck section. Its down the page a little further & if you run in to any complications or whatever your more apt to get a Quick & Correct response cuz thats for sure where the duck answers are. not saying some people here might not know, its more of a sure thing at the Duck section.. I have duck eggs in bator & just hatched 2 chick eggs last night & this morning. and my 1st ducky hatched 4 weeks ago. they take a while to hatch But They need to Be Out after a certain point so they don't sufficate. ~ just my opinion, good luck, ~Julie~
