(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I bought mine a month ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
13 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Speckled Sussex
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Knowing where my eggs come from and that the chickens are being taken care of.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, spending time with friends and family. Laser engraving cutting boards.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
At the moment I am still living with my parents. I have an Australian Shepherd that is a Red Merle with the cutest heart shape in his nose, and my sister’s Red Dapple Miniature Dachshund. So far these are my only babies lol.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found out about a little over a month ago when I was researching what breed of chicken I wanted on Google.
