Just starting to raise hens.

Iam all new to this chicken thing.
It all started one weekend me and my boys got bored and decided to head into the back yard and build something,well it ended up being a chicken pen .Now we have one chicken pen ,1 hen ,9 bitties ,and 1 hen on 25 eggs.
Much to my surprise we are enjoying this chicken farming thing.We dont know much about it yet and any info is greatly appreciated.
Just like Im not sure if I can put these hens together or not?
Or when will they all start to lay?(hens & bitties)
Or do I need a rooster for them to lay?
so on & so on...
On the other note glad we got bored that day and here I am .

2) You can look at coop designs here https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/2/Coops

3) You don't need a rooster for your hens to lay. However if you want the eggs to be fertile and hatch then you do need a rooster.

4) Hens start to lay around 6 months old.
