I've got a wild Canada Goose sitting on a nest right now (she's not mine, her nest is just on my island in the middle of my pond). She and her gander come here to nest every year and they have the most adorable gosling! I can't wait to see them this year. These geese are very intelligent. They know and trust (somewhat) that I won't bother them but if anyone else steps into the yard, Gander loses his mind. He's a wonderful protector for Goosie.

All the birds on our property are wild, Canadian geese, ducks, Moore hens. I only took these eggs in due to a fox getting mummy duck while nesting but she was pretty tame for a wild bird and I fed her and gave her water so she didn’t have to leave her nest if she didn’t want to
