I am now in the “Retirement “ stage. I have 5 hens 4 are around 6 years old and the 5th is or near 12 years. She raised (with her sister) many day old chicks. She was not the favorite mama 🤣🤣. I’ve had chickens since 2009. They have been a lot of fun but also worry and work. I’m in So Oregon. My coop is an open coop with a dirt floor. I have electric but do not heat even with temperatures in the teens. Have a great day!!
