yes they are really good at finding buck and other eatable thing when there outside. last summer I saw one of them hunting a mouse, I didn't know chickens hunts mouses at that time so I was really surprised
and yes there good flyers.

yes I breed mine, and I have been raising Icelandic chicken for 3 years

I remember when Mary 0'Brien had her Icelandics - there was a lot of controversy though about what was to be done with profits from eggs and sale of birds. The birds she received were from Iceland.
