My daughter showed one of our own hatched pullets at the Virginia State Fair. She got first by default (only Orpington pullet) but my daughter was so excited! The pullet is a cross between a Buff and Lavender, hence the color (non-standard). She also seemed very proud . It was a blast and my kids loved it! They got to learn so much about chicken breeds and care.
