Just what are you thankful for?

I am thankful that we can all share, regardless of the names of the God or morals or ideals we pray to or live by, this essentially SECULAR holiday.

Today's news, as mentioned above, only makes me gladder to live in a country where we are not judged by our religion or belief system, but are free to believe as we choose, according to our own traditions, as long as we follow the laws of our land and live in peace.

Peace to all of you , fellow chicken lovers.

I am thankful you are not there either! My cousin, her DH and her 4 children are near Mumbai right now trying to adopt a little girl from there. (I am not sure why they took all their children with them?) They are Ok so far as we know though. But we are all praying hard for them to come home safe.

Truly, I am so thankful God has let me have my fun-loving children, a home where I am warm in the winter and cool in the summer, a car that is currently running, and food in our stomachs. I am especially thankful to God how He has preserved our family through rough times & how He does answer prayer, but in His own perfect timing.

Oh, yes. I am also so glad I discovered how great having chickens can be! They make me smile.

I am thankful that God's strength is made perfect in my weakness. I am thankful that, as I near the end of my 39th year in his presence, he has blessed me abundantly more than I could ever ask or think.
