They look like hatchery RIRs to me.

When do Production Reds or RIRs start laying eggs? I know the Golden Comets start early, so when do the rest???

It varies. Two of my three hatchery RIRs began laying at 19 weeks old and the third at about 23 weeks old.

Those look like RIRs to me. But could be Production Reds.

Thanks everyone. I am a little disappointed that they aren't Red Golden Comets, because I was excited that they would be laying within the next five weeks but now I have to wait a few more weeks. But, the most important thing is that they are healthy...

Hatchery RIR's or Production Red are all bred as egg layers so you should still get eggs just as early as you would with a Golden Comet or "Sex Link" hen.
