OMGosh, I promised myself I wasnt gonna talk about marans anymore on here LOL...

I got my marans quite by accident. My friend Will asked me if I wanted some, and gave me 6 chicks. They are outstanding quality, but the bottom line is they are just chickens. I also will offer eggs for a reasonable price.... just cuz Im not able to throw these pretty brown eggs away LOL and I cant hatch them all.

I have clips somewhere online of our freestlye... but after my freestyle dog died suddenly about 4 years ago, I dont have the desire to do it anymore.... he was like my 2nd son!

My current dogs all have championships, and my male Atom has been in the top 10 ranking in conformation for the past 3 years. there are a few video clips of him and I on TV on his web page. This year however, I have not been in the ring once. The politics burnt me out. BIRD people are SOOOOO much nicer!

You're right about the politics. When I went from showing horses to showing dogs, I thought the dog world was actually refreshing comparatively speaking. But then as I got more involved...well, yeah. So now the birds, and I've really been enjoying them, and especially the fact that you can get something BACK from them! I mean, I love my poodles, but I wouldn't eat anything that came out of THEIR butts.

Peachick...How much are you asking for for a half and for a whole dozen of the black copper marans, and how about the blue copper marans? Taneytown, md is only an hour away...I could drive there in the spring time and get eggs from you if I want them. That way the eggs don't have to go thru the post office and the possiblity of them being no good.
Thanks everybody. I appreciate the help. I just love hatching different breeds. My chicken pen is all mixed up. I have RIR's, delawares, a silver laced polish, a buff orp, and black sex links. All a little different...Makes it nice to watch. Maybe the marans might be the ones I stick with. (at least for a little.) They are interesting.
